Description
These two little journals were made for an entomologist who needed to use them regularly for recording notes in the field.
I bound the pages to alternate between plain and lined sheets, so that each spread would have room for both writing and drawing. Technically case-bound, these books had decorative stitching added through the hinges in the style of Anne Goy’s Crisscross binding.
With one each of A5 and A6 sizes, the books were hardbound in limited edition V&A fabric – one with a natural-coloured yarn over a vertical stripe of green cloth; and the smaller with green waxed linen yarn. Each had green endpapers with a gold flourish pattern, and a sage green satin bookmark with a silver bumblebee charm on the end.
