Traditionally hardbound in a chocolate brown leather; this medium-sized sketchbook features a hand-tooled illustration in silver-coloured foil. Positioned slightly right of centre, and occupying almost half of the front cover; the illustration shows three Scottish Bluebells (campanula rotundifolia).
The book is designed in a contemporary gothic style, bringing together modern materials with 12th-15th Century characteristics such as prominent raised bands on the spine, and thick, shaped boards. This is a highly flexible binding that will open fully back upon itself, allowing for comfortable use in a variety of environments.
Inside, you’ll find beautifully printed pottery-blue endpapers with a small white floral pattern; a satin ribbon bookmark in pale blue; and 64 pages (128 sides) of the Bindery’s 150gsm Drawing Cartridge. This is a natural white paper with a slight tooth, archival age-resistance, and excellent environmental characteristics.

Medium: 217 x 154 x 28 mm (slightly larger than A5)
This book is imperfectly trimmed at the fore-edge (opposite the spine). This is purely an aesthetic issue, and can be seen in the 3rd image – the page edges are closer to the board edges than they should be. As it’s not up to my usual standard, I’ve reduced the price of this book.
May not be suitable for young children.
